AN eight-month pregnant woman queued for eight hours to meet singer Peter Andre when he visited Swindon yesterday.

The Mysterious Girl singer, 41, was at The Perfume Shop, in The Brunel Centre, to promote his new Scarlet giftset.

And Theresa Moran, 41, was at the front of the queue to meet the star, heading up a line which spanned all the way around Wharf Green.

She said: “It feels absolutely wonderful to have met him and I was determined to be at the front of the queue.

"It was a long wait but it was definitively worth it.”

When The former I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here... contestant arrived he blew kisses to the crowd of hundreds, signed boxes of the giftset and posed for selfies with customers.

He said: “It is brilliant to be here in Swindon to meet this absolutely brilliant crowd as they have been so lovely.

"I really didn’t expect to see quite so many people. These tours have given me the chance to go out and meet the fans which has been just fantastic.

“I’m really proud of this fragrance and the rest of my collection. When we first started doing the perfumes 10-years-ago I’d have never thought we’d still be doing this but they’ve gone through the roof.

“I think Scarlett is up there with Forever as my favourite fragrances.”

As hundreds of Peter’s fans waited in and around the shopping centre they shouted and screamed for the star creating a raucous atmosphere.

Competition winners Georgia Delaney and Hannah Golding won the chance to be one of the first to meet Peter and were given free Scarlet boxsets - which includes a women’s eau de toilette and a moisturiser.

Georgia, 23, said: “It has been an really interesting experience, I couldn’t believe just how busy it was. I really enjoyed meeting Peter and I have to admit I did have a hot flush when I spoke to him.”

Hannah, 25, said: “I has been really great and I couldn’t believe Georgia won the competition. I’m really glad I got to come along with her.”

Before coming to Swindon, Peter visited The Perfume Shop’s branch at the Clarkes Village, in Glastonbury, Somerset to promote his giftset.

Michelle D’vaz, The Perfume Shop’s brand and marketing manager, said: “It’s always a pleasure to work with Peter and fantastic to see the reaction he gets when he visits The Perfume Shop stores.”
