GET your Christmas off to a cracking start with Kentwood’s Christmas Cracker – a feast of seasonal music, carols, fun and laughter at the Wyvern Theatre.
Led by the inimitable Sheila Harrod, and accompanied by a trio of excellent musicians, the choir delivers songs from its vast repertoire with energy, passion, movement and style.
From humble beginnings in 1964, Kentwood has progressed to becoming one of the country’s leading show choirs.
The singers have performed in Germany, Austria, California, Poland, Romania, Ireland and Spain.
In recent years, they have graced such venues as Guildford Cathedral, Salisbury Cathedral, and the Royal Albert Hall.
They have appeared on national television in Bob says Opportunity Knocks, Noel’s House Party and Songs of Praise.
The show will be held on Sunday at 4pm and 8pm.
Morrisons of Swindon have donated 1,200 mince pies and 180 bottles of Christmas Punch for the audience to enjoy at the Kentwood Cracker this year.
Collection buckets on the night will be in aid of Sue Ryder as that is the supermarket’s chosen charity for the year.
