JUDITH Sharp and Ray Dance are cordially inviting the people of Swindon to celebrate the festive season with Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, a feel-good cracker of a show.

Based on the heart-warming film, it recounts the story of army buddies Bob and Phil, who form a successful song and dance act after the Second World War.

With romance in mind, the two follow two beautiful singing sisters to a Christmas gig at Vermont Lodge, which just happens to be owned by their former army commander. They soon discover they are the only guests at the lodge because there is no snow.

How will they help the General bring in the crowd? Will love blossom? Will they make it a Christmas Eve to remember? Or do they need to send for the Army?

Passionate about musical theatre, Judith joined SALOS in 1982. She built a strong reputation of the Swindon acting scene before creating musical theatre company, R & J Musicals with Ray in 2001.

The show will feature classic Irving Berlin hits such as Blue Skies, Sisters, Happy Holiday, Count Your Blessings, I Love a Piano and the unforgettable title song White Christmas.

White Christmas is sure to get your feet tapping and have you leaving the theatre with that warm, festive feeling.

It will run from Wednesday, December 10 to Saturday, December 13 at Swindon's Arts Centre at 7.30pm. There will be a matinee at 2.30pm on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14. Tickets cost £11 (£10) from 01793 524481 or go to swindontheatres.co.uk.
