Voodoo Room: A Night of Hendrix & Cream is a strange brew of guitar wizardry featuring classic tracks, from Sunshine of Your Love to Purple Haze.

The musical theatre piece is played by guitarist and singer Pete Orr, drummer John Tonks and bass player Andy Tolman.

It was the music of Jack Bruce, from Cream, who inspired Andy to pick up the bass guitar in 1988. He went on to play with names such as Ben E King, Sir George Martin and Alfie Boe.

Drummer John played with Duran Duran, Fish, The Streets, Lulu, Chris Drifford and Paul Young.

The tribute to Cream and Jimi Hendrix is at 8pm, in the Swindon Arts Centre, Old Town, on Sunday, September 11. Tickets are £17.50 – 01793 614837.
