HIS life may have been cut tragically short but 'the young man in glasses' legacy lives on in The Buddy Holly Story. The feelgood Rock 'n Roll show charts the singer's meteoric rise to fame, from the moment in 1957 when That'll Be The Day hit the airwaves to his death in a plane crash less than two years later; an accident remembered as 'the day the music died'. The jukebox musical features more than 20 of Buddy Holly's greatest hits including the legendary That'll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, Everyday, Oh Boy, Not Fade Away, Raining in My Heart and Ritchie Valens's La Bamba and The Big Bopper's Chantilly Lace thrown in for good measure.
The Buddy Holly Story runs at the Wyvern Theatre from Tuesday, November 22 to Saturday 26. Tickets start at £20. To book go to swindontheatres.co.uk or call 01793 524481.
