THE ever popular Reduced Shakespeare Company make a welcome return to the Wyvern Theatre tonight, with William Shakespeare’s Long Lost First Play (abridged).

The acclaimed stars of the West End stage promise another barnstormingly irreverent and breathtakingly hilarious celebration of our cultural heritage – as seen through the eyes of three Americans wearing trainers.

In a better-late-than-never nod to Will’s 400th anniversary, the bad boys of abridgement present this ‘new’ play by the man himself, as discovered in a Leicester car park.

All of Shakespeare’s greatest characters and plots feature in this single work of dramatic genius, that he later decided to turn into 37 separate plays.

The play has been mercifully abridged by the RSC from its full 100 hour running time to a more palatable 90 minutes.

The show starts at 7.30pm tonight. Tickets are £22.50 to £23.50 from the box office on 01793 524481 or visit the website at www.swindontheatres.co.uk.
