ACTORS wanting to break into TV and film careers can get some tips from the top, as BAFTA-nominated director Frank Smith is running a masterclass for those interesting in developing their skills as screen actors on Saturday, April 8 from 10am-4pm at Town Hall Arts, Trowbridge.
Frank will give tips on how to present yourself when applying for roles and at auditions; the importance of and how to make the most of your close up, how to move and handle props; useful, on set, director and crew terms and awareness of editing when performing amongst other things.
Tracy Sullivan, director of Town Hall Arts, said: "We’re really thrilled Frank has offered to share his vast experience with us, as the director of great TV such as London’s Burning, Casualty and The Bill, and a really lovely man, I’m sure it’s going to be a day full of great knowledge sharing and fun.
"This will be a really informative session for anyone interested in a career in acting or great fun for anyone intrigued to know how they would come across on screen."
The masterclass is for anyone over 16 and costs just £35. Places can be booked online at www.trowbridgearts.com or by calling 01225 765072.
