AFTER a sell-out European tour, the Johnny Cash Roadshow will roll into Oxford’s New Theatre on January 14 for a night to remember.
A celebration of the legend’s eventful life and musical genius, the production takes the audience from the 1950s right up to 2002, the year of his last release for his American Recordings label.
The only show to be endorsed by the Cash family, it stars award-winning Clive John as Johnny Cash and Jill Schoonjans as June Carter and, of course, features the Carter Sisters.
All the star’s greatest hits will feature in the show, including Ring of Fire, Walk the Line and Folsom Prison Blues.
Accompanying video projections promise to bring evocative images to each song.
The Johnny Cash Roadshow will start at 7.30pm on Wednesday, January 14.
