PASSENGERS on early morning trains to and from Swindon suffered delays after a fire on a locomotive in Wales.
The small fire, on an InterCity 125 train, happened on the 6am First Great Western Swansea to Paddington service, stopping the train just outside Neath shortly before 6.30am.
A spokesman said there had been problems with services in both directions, but that these were cleared by 10am.
Services from Paddington were terminated at Cardiff, and those heading into the capital were delayed.
Twenty people on board the train were evacuated. No one suffered any injuries.
