Jordan heading to town for book launch

The glamour model turned model mother will be promoting her second novel in the town next month.

Jordan, whose real name is Katie Price, will be at the town centre branch of WH Smith on June 14 to sign copies of the new book and her other publications.

Her second novel, Crystal, will be published on June 7, and tells the "glittering and sexy story" of a woman searching for true love, who has spent her whole life dreaming of becoming a singer.

Brighton-born Jordan, who will be 29 later this month, is heavily pregnant with her third child at the moment, and is reportedly expecting the baby in June.

Laura Simpson, a member of the WH Smith events team at their Swindon head office, said: "It's just a normal book signing event.

"People will be able to purchase her new book Crystal and have it signed.

"Posters went up in store on Wednesday afternoon, and I think the store has been getting some inquiries already."

When asked about confirmation of the signing with regards Jordan's pregnancy and due date, she said that "as far as we know" the event would be going ahead.

According to the book's blurb, Crystal gets her big chance in a reality TV search for a singer for a girl band.

"But Crystal has a secret. She's fallen for the wrong man and this one mistake could cost her everything - her friendships, her fame and her chance of ever finding love again"

Crystal follows Jordan's debut novel Angel, which was published last summer, telling the tale of an 18-year-old destined for a glitzy career of glamour modelling.

Jordan has recently completed a bedside vigil for her husband Peter André. She met him when they were both appearing on I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here.

He came down with viral meningitis after a flight back from America and was in hospital for a week being treated for the brain disease.

The couple were forced to put out a statement to quell rumours that André died last week, after they started to circulate on the internet.
