YOUNG mum Samantha Lowry has received threats from an abductor who took her three-month-old baby to Mexico seven weeks ago.

Samantha, who now lives in Texas, is desperate to rescue her son from estranged partner Daniel Pavon-Cuellar.

Mr Pavon-Cuellar, 40, who is now classed as an international fugitive, snatched Sebastian from Austin on May 25 and drove 30 hours to cross the Mexican border.

Samantha had not heard from Mr Cuellar, who she accuses of violence, for five weeks as he is refusing to hand over baby Sebastian to authorities.

His email, which she received on Monday, warns that she has six days to drop the warrants seeking his arrest or else.

The ominous email, which is in pidgin English, said: "What you gone do if something goes terribly wrong here?"

He says she will only see her baby if she writes an affidavit retracting how he abducted Sebastian.

"You have six days left to write the whole truth about everything into an affidavit and send to all involved Only this way will you see Sebastian soon."

It finishes with: "6 DAYS SAM..... EVERY SECOND COUNTS....."

Four warrants have been issued for Mr Pavon-Cuellar's arrest and a picture of him and Sebastian has been posted on the US National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children's website.

The 24-year-old mum said she does not know if her baby is still alive as Mr Cuellar has refused authorities access.

She hasn't seen Sebastian now for more than seven weeks.

Speaking from Austin tonight, she said: "I'm petrified about his safety.

"Sometimes, I can barely cope and break down.

"I'm just trying to be strong. Every day I just keep hoping."

She said Mr Cuellar's email is irrational.

"The email shows how crazy he is. He is threatening me. He truly believes he is in the right," she said.

"He is trying to scare me into dumping all the charges, but I can't. Daniel will never bring Sebastian back by choice."

Mr Cuellar has also contacted the Adver and other media outlets defending his criminal actions.

Samantha was breastfeeding Sebastian when he was abducted from her at only eight weeks.

She has appealed to new Foreign Secretary David Miliband to help get her baby back.

MP Anne Snelgrove met Foreign and Commonwealth Office Junior Minister Meg Munn on July 10 to urge the UK Government to put pressure on Mexican authorities.
