AN electricity sub station has flooded and 1,400 homes and businesses in Swindon are without power.
Southern Electric says that it has to wait for flood waters to subside before working on the sub station in Drakes Way.
About 1,400 homes and businesses - including the Greenbridge retail park and Tesco in Ocotal Way - have been affected.
Also, the Joust weekend in the grounds of Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire has been cancelled on Saturday and Sunday.
The National Blood Service (NBS) has cancelled a Lechlade donation session today at the Memorial Hall, Oak Street.
The session will be closing at the earlier time of 5pm due to bad weather conditions.
The National Blood Service are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but it has been done in the interest of the donors and staff.
