POLICE investigating a serious sexual assault in a Marlborough alleyway have arrested a man.
The attack is alleged to have taken place in the secluded Hughenden Yard off the High Street in the early hours of Monday morning.
A man in his thirties was arrested this morning.
Police spokesman Martin Dunscombe said: "Officers are investigating an allegation of serious sexual assault in the area.
"The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning.
"A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries."
