CCTV footage has been released by Wiltshire Police in a bid to track down the women involved in a spate of distraction thefts.
There have been five reported incidents of distraction thefts in Swindon and Royal Wootton Bassett on Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10 and police are keen to hear from anyone who may have information.
The incidents are all of a similar nature and involve two females entering Post Offices and other local businesses asking for £20 notes to be changed into £10 notes.
After some confusion and distraction of the staff, the women then ask for the original £20 notes back and leave with these and the £10 notes already given to them.
As well as releasing CCTV pictures which show the women at a shop counter in Royal Wootton Bassett, police have released descriptions of the women.
A police spokesman said: “It is believed that there are three women involved and possibly a fourth person driving a dark Vauxhall Vectra type car.
“The suspects are described as being of Eastern European origin, possibly a mother and daughter, and both have several gold teeth.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, anonymously if preferred.
