SERIAL Swindon rapist Orville McDonald Vaughan has pleaded guilty to two more attacks.

Vaughan, 53, of Allington Road, was sentenced to 13 years imprisonment for two rapes in June 2012.

He has now also admitted raping two vulnerable 16 year old girls in the town centre in the late 1980’s.

Vaughan was found not guilty of another count of rape against a third woman.

He has now been sentenced to an additional four years in prison for his latest admissions.

Detective Constable Nick Bishop from Swindon CID said he hoped this case would send a “strong message” that the police take any type of sexual attack seriously.

He added that no matter how much time has passed, Wiltshire Police fully-investigates all allegations of sexual assaults.

He said : “Vaughan is a predatory sexual offender who has a history of raping young and vulnerable girls.

“I would like to commend all of Vaughan’s victims, from both this case and the one previously, for their courage and bravery in coming forward.

“Although incidents of this nature are not prevalent in the Swindon or Wiltshire area, Wiltshire Police will robustly investigate all allegations.”

Anyone wishing to report a serious sexual offence should contact Wiltshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Information can be given anonymously.
