A FORMER beauty queen is vying to be the face of the globe when she competes this weekend.

Hannah Golding, who has held the crown of Miss Swindon and England’s Perfect Miss, is competing in the finals of the Face Of The Globe south west finals today.

If she wins the regional finals Hannah, 24, from Liden, who missed out on winning Miss Wiltshire earlier this year will go to the Grand Final in October held at Disneyland, Paris.

The Face Of The Globe is an international competition where competitors from all over the globe compete to win the title.

Hannah is heading to Bristol Rover’s stadium where she will compete in three rounds, including the T-shirt round, evening gown round and the rainbow-themed round, for which Hannah has created her own playsuit made out of rainbow flags.

She said: “I’m really excited to represent Wiltshire in an exciting new pageant, where the finals are at Disneyland.

“I've never been to Disneyland before so it would be a childhood dream come true.

“There are three rounds but I'm most excited for the rainbow round.

“Carrying on the theme of eco wear from Miss England, I’ve created a playsuit made out of flags, which I will also be wearing in the Swindon Pride parade later this year.

“Hopefully the judges won't see my shocking sewing.”

Because of Hannah’s age this could be her last pageant and she is hoping to make the most of it and do her town proud.

She said: “Of course I am nervous, I am getting on a bit in the pageant world so this could be my last final.

“I've loved representing my town and county as Miss Swindon and still get recognised today so I want to continue being a great representative for Wiltshire.”
