A BEAUTY queen is one step closer to winning an international pageant but needs sponsorship to fulfil her dream.

Hannah Golding has made the finals of the Face of The Globe after wowing the judges at the South West finals in Bristol on Saturday.

After being named in the top five contestants, the 24-year-old, of Liden, who missed out on winning Miss Wiltshire earlier this year, will go to the grand final in October held at Disneyland, Paris.

Hannah competed at Bristol Rovers’ stadium, where she took part in three rounds, including the T-shirt round, evening gown round and the rainbow-themed round, in which Hannah stood out after creating her own playsuit made out of rainbow flags.

She said: “When they called my name, I was in shock.

“We had to make a little speech and the first thing I said was ‘I’m going to Disneyland’.

“I am really excited because I have never been to Disneyland, which means I get to relive my childhood and see all the Disney Princesses.

“Also it will be my first international competition, competing against the likes of USA and New Zealand. I want to make Swindon proud and show that we can conquer the globe.”

The week-long finals include a talent round, Halloween fancy dress party, gala dinners and competing in princess style gowns.

Hannah now needs sponsors to help her secure her place.

She said: “Because I was in the top five, we have to pay sponsorship. The full cost is £579 and this can be split between different companies.

“The benefits include nationwide advertisement and promotion. I am also looking for dress, hair and shoes sponsors to make sure Swindon can take home the international crown.”

Hannah is raising funds for the Rainbow Child Foundation.

She will join Miss Swindon 2013 Jade Wickenden in the abseil for Prospect Hospice on Sunday in their ball gowns.
