LIFT Psychology will soon be running a new course for people who experience non-epileptic attacks.
The attacks are bodily sensations and experiences that appear to be epilepsy but, after medical investigations, no abnormal electrical activity in the brain is detected.
It is not known exactly what causes individuals to have this condition, but much more is known about what can help people to better manage and control it.
The course, called Managing Fits and Faints, will teach people these tools and techniques within a friendly and supportive environment.
The five-week, free course starts on Wednesday, August 7, and will run from 1.30pm until 3.30pm.
It takes place in the LIFT Psychology base, at Old Town surgery.
Any adult who is registered with a GP within Swindon or Wiltshire can attend. To book a place on the course or to find out more about it, please phone 01793 835711 or visit www.lift.awp.nhs.uk
