DANCERS from Swindon Academy of Dance have excelled at The All England Regional Finals.

The bi-annual event, held at Ferneham Hall in Fareham, is the culmination of two years of hard work and dedication for the students.

Swindon Academy of Dance has been the most successful school in Wiltshire at this event in the past 12 years.

Each dancer who went on to the regional finals was selected by achieving a qualifying mark at selected festivals around the country.

Now 47 of them have managed to guarantee their places at the All England final at The Bloomsbury Theatre, London, to be held next week.

The dancers range in age from just eight to 18, qualifying in 16 solo dances, five duets, three trios, one quartet and a staggering 10 groups.

Swindon Academy of Dance principal Sarah Watson said: β€œIn the 25-year history of the academy we have never had so much success from so many students and children so young. All the hard work and commitment from students, parents and staff has truly paid off yet again and we now continue to aim to do our very best for the prestigious national finals.”
