BRITAIN’S Got Talent finalists The Luminites are looking forward to performing in front of the Swindon crowds at the County Ground during this weekend’s Big Summer Session.

The London four-piece busking band, who wowed audiences on Britain’s Got Talent and were dubbed the ‘British Black Eyed Peas’ by Simon Cowell in their semi-final, will perform one or two brand new songs on the first night of the two-day concert this Friday.

Band member JJ said: “We are definitely looking forward to it, the line up is amazing and it’s great to come back to such an amazing place. Life after Britain’s Got Talent is amazing, all the opportunities we’ve got from it, we’re getting to meet some amazing people too.

“We’ve been to Swindon before, we’ve done a tour and they’re really supportive. It’s going to be amazing.”

“Wherever we’ve gone to it’s been such a buzz of excitement and when the weather is like this we need to get out and about. We’re just really excited, and can’t wait to get down there and see it all.”

The first of the concerts is on Friday, with acts such as Katy B, Wiley, Tinchy Stryder, Ms Dynamite, McKnasty, Alexis Jordan and SD*Jem as well as The Luminites.

Saturday night will see Peter Andre, 911, Blue, Atomic Kitten, Liberty X, Honeyz, Five and B*Witched all taking to the stage.

Four booths have been set up around the town at Tesco in Ocotal Way, Asda Walmart in North Swindon, the Outlet Village and the Brunel Centre in the town centre for tickets.

The concerts will also be helping a local cause, with a donation from every ticket sale going towards eight-year-old Alycia Ellis who needs to raise more than £50,000 to fund an operation to help her walk.

Full price tickets are still available online by visiting www.ticketmaster.co.uk and searching for the Big Summer Session.

However, standing tickets are now just £10 when purchased from the ticket booths around the town.

Anyone who has already bought tickets and has a query can call the ticket helpline on 07594 448973.
