TV’s Channel 5 created a children’s TV show that proved hugely popular with its young audience back in 1997 and today Milkshake counts fans all across the globe.

Premier Stage Productions has teamed up with Channel 5 to create a Milkshake Live stage production which is currently touring the UK and stops off in Swindon this weekend.

All the favourites are there, Little Princess and Scruff, Noddy and Tessie Bear, Roary and Big Chris, Fifi and Bumble and B1 and B2 those cheeky Bananas in Pyjamas.

The all-singing, all-dancing children's’s party is audience interactive and features new songs, classic favourites and funky dance moves.

Come Out To Play is a story about the Milkshake friends who come out to play, but when the time comes for them to go home they find themselves stuck outside the television. All the young ones in the audience are asked to help them get back to Milkshake in time for the morning show.

The TV show is aimed at children from two to seven-years-old and the live version is suitable for that age group too. The programme is broadcast on weekdays and has a number of presenters and a range of pre-school programmes such as Peppa Pig and Thomas and Friends. The current presenters are Olivia Birchenough, Kemi Majeks, Derek Moran, Jen Pringle and Amy Thompson. Olivia ran in this year’s London marathon.

Milkshake is at Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre on Sunday, July 28 at 1pm and 3.30pm. There are only a few tickets left at £13 for adults, £11 for children and a family ticket of two adults and two children at £44. For more details call 01793 524481 or visit www.wyverntheatre.org - Flicky Harrison
