A ruling on funding for the proposed extension of Thamesdown Drive is expected to be made today in the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement.
Costings for the project were ironed out in the Halcrow report last month, and a preferred route was established for the relief road linking north and west Swindon.
Swindon MPs hope for a £50m cash injection to begin construction following the statement today.
See tomorrow’s Adver for details and the decision.
