Traffic delays following accident on Drove Road

EMERGENCY services are in attendance following a car accident on Drove Road this afternoon.

A Vauxhall Corsa collided with a traffic island and the fire brigade are at the scene to attend to the smoking vehicle, but no injuries have been reported.

Commuters can expect delays as one lane remains blocked.

Hopefully the driver will be charged with something because there's no way they could have been driving remotely correctly to have crashed in the way they did.

It's rather ironic the crash happened at the point of the road where they recently spent hundreds of thousands of pounds redesigning the layout to prevent accidents.

If you'd seen the aftermath of the crash, you'd have known it could only have been some extraordinarily abysmal driving that caused it. As I say, I hope the driver is charged with something.
