'Fell'?

It's time the media stopped reporting suicides in this manner as it only causes the kind of confusion above.

Couldnt agree more,
How can people think the first comment had anything wrong in the content.
Ok maybe it is early to be asking how and why. It is possible that the family have issues of their own.
More than 10 votes but 3 comments hmmmmm thoughtless critics will say dont like this but will offer no solution or ask any question as to why.
This is another young life wasted in the town and attitudes such as those voters have displayed only prove that they are not interested in helping fix the problem only that the wish for it not to affect them.
Your annon voting proves this...Q Davey or one of your other accounts.

Try getting help for a mental health issue in Swindon...the conversation goes a little like this.
Q- Are you a danger to yourself or others.
A - I dont know I am really confused about what I am dealing with but I dont know how to deal with it.
Q - Can you make it to this weekly group therapy that starts in 4-6 weeks?
A - Yes I need help.
Q - Ok so I have signed you up for this course if you have any other problems give us a call your hour is up. Take care of yourself.
A - Thanks it has been great to talk to someone that understands.
A week later.
Call looking for help.
Q - We may be able to get you an appointment in 2 weeks.
A - I really dont feel able to deal with this right now.
Q - you will need to go to A&E.
A - you arrive at A&E and the place is busy anxiety goes through the roof everyone else has a pysical injury so you wait for hours till duty councilor can see you.
Q - Are you a danger to yourself or others?
A - I dont know Im so confused well fill in this tick box sheet for the last 2 weeks.
Unless you are screaming hurting yourself or others the preventitive measures are pretty poor because as said above there are many taking the **** out of the system. Stigma becomes fact and you become scared to mention it to work or friends as you are cast out as a dosser and should pull yourself together.
you are alone and have nowhere else to go I understand how this happens I have lived it and been very lucky that friends were there to support me.
The levels of ignorance to mental health is scary to say the least and ignorance breeds fear much easier to dismiss it as lazy or whatever label you want to put on it.
To Jaydene and family thank you for helping where you could he obviously saw no other way of dealing with his thoughts and demons you have done so much more than most are prepared to even think about.
To those who believe they have no issues I say lucky you. Feeling like you are being ignored as Mikeroberts has said just pushes you to whats the point.
Still go back to your big TV`s its not directly your problem so why should you care?

This is spot on. When I go for my check ups every couple of months the question I get is "Do you feel like harming yourself or others". As soon as you say no they are like, ok good, here's your prescription of hard drugs. See you later. There is no care. If I didn't have a supportive family I would have been dead years ago.

Hi Claire,
Sorry to hear you have had the same bad experiences I am sure you are not the only one.
I have read comments on here before where a person with mental health issues has either lashed out or tragically like the story above and the general consensus is another nutter forgot to take meds.
How about that person has been ignored for years and just been topped up on meds, this does not fix the problem its not a headache or something you can fix with just pills it needs care and help.
Fixing it with meds only masks the issue and when triggered again can have negative results.
As mentioned those that dont know tend to be happy its not them so they can point the finger and those that do feel scared to raise the point as at best you get lip service.
