POLL: Mayor right to quit
SWINDON: The majority of the Adver’s online readers believe that Nick Martin was right to stand down as Mayor of Swindon this week.
Almost 600 people voted in the poll, with 83 per cent backing Coun Martin’s decision to quit following remarks he made about disabled people and 17 per cent feeling he should have remained in office. The results and readers’ comments can be read online at www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk.
