SWINDON: A man who is charged with burglary and going equipped to steal has been released on bail by a judge.

William Sheehan is said to have taken part in a break-in at a house on Gold View in Rushey Platt on Wednesday, February 5 this year.

The 37-year-old is also accused of being in possession of a torch with intent to steal when he was arrested on nearby Sunnyside Avenue.

No charges were formally put to Sheehan, of Aylesbury Street, and he did not enter any pleas during the brief hearing at Swindon Crown Court.

Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Friday June 20 and released him on bail until then.
