Graffiti artists create 3D masterpiece at Village

GRAFFITI artists have unvelied their own brand of art at the Outlet Village after a project that took place over four weekends last month.
McArthurGlen Swindon Designer invited the Graffiti Kings, official graffiti artists for the London 2012 Olympic Games, to produce a 3D art piece at the centre.
Shoppers had the chance to witness artists from the Graffiti Kings collective in action as they built up the impressive and original image of a fashion catwalk, culminating in the finished piece being revealed on April 26.
The project was to celebrate McArthurGlen’s largest ever accessory initiative ‘Colour Me Happy’ – a month-long campaign welcoming the arrival of Spring/Summer 14 accessory collections.
The centre will also continue to offer promotions and additional savings on a selection of brands with Jeff Banks, L K Bennett, Lacoste, Ted Baker and Radley all offering an extra 20 per cent off on all accessories.
McArthurGlen’s Swindon Centre Manager, Tina Cumpstey says: “Colour Me Happy has already proved to be a success with our interactive treasure hunts and brand offers.”
Graffiti artist Darren Cullen, from Graffiti Kings, said: “Our graffiti artists don’t just paint walls, they bring walls to life and we’re very excited to be working live in McArthurGlen Swindon Designer Outlet.”
