Family thank public for support as police commissioner remains in hospital following heart attack

WILTSHIRE and Swindon Police and Crime Commissioner Angus Macpherson remains in hospital today after being taken ill in Trowbridge on Friday morning.

Mr Macpherson is currently in a serious but stable condition in Bath RUH’s Intensive Care Unit after suffering a heart attack while on duty at an event.

The Office of the PCC has reviewed the Commissioner’s diary with business continuing largely as usual.

The Meet the Commissioner event planned to take place at County Hall in Trowbridge on Wednesday will be postponed.

Mr Macpherson’s family have expressed their thanks to the many people who have contacted both them and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner giving their best wishes for a speedy recovery.
