MERCEDES-Benz of Swindon put the ‘tee’ into charity when it staged its annual golf day at Bowood Golf Club.
Seventy-eight customers of the Drakes Way retailer took part and raised £420 for Wiltshire Air Ambulance from a raffle held during the prize-giving dinner.
Despite the threat of lightning and a mix of weather conditions, the day went with a swing with Jon James, Daimien McConnell and Viv Monument qualifying to represent Mercedes-Benz of Swindon in the regional final of the MercedesTrophy on July 31.
“It was another successful and enjoyable day and the intermittent rain and showers certainly didn’t dampen the spirits of those involved,” said Mike Fellows, managing director of Mercedes-Benz of Swindon.
