A FREE awareness event for Swindon employers focusing on bereavement and suicide takes place this week.
On Friday, from 9.45am at the Jurys Inn, in Fleming Way, employers will be helped to understand the complex issues associated with bereavement and suicide, support colleagues during traumatic times and develop the right environment to aid a return to work.
The event will also help employers appreciate the impact of bereavement on mental health.
Guest speakers include Frances Mayes of Public Health Swindon, Mandy Rutter of Validium, Jacqueline Parry of SOBS (Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide), Mary Mooney of Lift Psychology and Linda Morgan of The Samaritans.
The special guest will be Cormac MacMahon, news editor at Heart FM.
