SWINDON: Rotary Community Corps is looking for hearing aid wearers who want to make a difference to their community with a very small commitment. The group is hoping to recruit volunteers to check on the availability of hearing loops in Swindon and whether they are working.
Volunteers will audit churches, libraries, shops, GP surgeries and the train station in pairs.
They will also be asked to check signage and how aware staff are of the loop. Training will be given.
To find out more contact Tim Mason, chairman of Let’s Loop Swindon steering group, at tim.mason@1100rotaryeclub.org or Seniz Mutlu Seniz@vas-swindon.org, also a member of the Swindon steering group.
