SWINDON’S very own pair of Mark Zuckerbergs are coding their way to a bright future in the app industry with a run of creations masterminded at Cirencester College.

Jeevan Thandi, 18, of Worlidge Drive in Shaw, and Vito Faircloth, 19, of Highworth, founded TriCreations Ltd almost one year ago after being paired together in a class at Cirencester College.

The teenagers had not shared a single conversation in their first six months as students together in the 2012/13 academic year, but after being paired by their teacher for an assignment they found they had a number of common interests.

“I was working on my website and Vito just asked a few questions about it,” said Jeevan, who created Cs2Az, a social GCSE and A-Level revision site, at 15 years old.

“We both wanted to start a business, we both have similar goals and dreams. We were very lucky to be paired up together that day in March last year.”

While Vito takes care of the sales and marketing side of the business, Jeevan sees everything in code as the main programmer and designer for the firm.

In September 2013 the pair finished their first marketable app. It is called SubFeed and is used by lecturers at Cirencester College and other establishments as a learning aid for students.

The app allows lecturers to upload lesson plans and presentations to a website, which can then be viewed by students on their mobile devices before and after lessons.

After developing their second app Safmeds, an educational tool to help psychology students with revision, Jeevan and Vito turned their attention to the gaming market.

Last week the company launched its first game on the Apple App Store called Stop Dots – a reaction-based game, where players must press buttons on their screen as dots fall down.

An exciting summer of opportunity awaits for the enterprising duo, who will work with a private educational technology firm across the summer in Glasgow and London.

Jeevan would not reveal too much however.

“It’s all very hush, hush, but it’s a learning experience for us both which will also allow us to keep working on TriCreations,” he said.

Jeevan said he and Vito would essentially be interns, but the long-term benefit for the unnamed company would be the opportunity to commercialise SubFeed.
