A MAN who had indecent images of children on his computer tried to get a child to engage in sex acts.
Christopher Clarke pleaded guilty to the string of offences which took place in June 2012.
The 48-year-old, of Pheasant Close, Dorcan, admitted attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity.
He also admitted ten counts of making and one of possessing indecent images of a child and two of having extreme pornography.
Judge Douglas Field, sitting at Swindon Crown Court, was told Clarke was being treated in a hospital mental health unit in Hertfordshire.
He adjourned the case to Friday, August 1 so reports could be compiled and released him on conditional bail.
