EVER wondered how your street came to take its name?
To celebrate the launch of BBC’s Children’s television exhibition Here’s One We Made Earlier, TV Licensing has delved into its database to find road names in Swindon which may have been inspired by or taken from the world of youngster’s TV.
Swindon , for example, boasts The Magic Roundabout, home of Zebedee, Florence and friends; Garfield Close, which shares its name with the lasagna-loving cat from America; and Aubrey Gardens which would make the ideal home for fellow orange-coloured cartoon character Aubrey.
