RESIDENTS can now apply to join the parish council in Wroughton and help change the community for the better.
The applicant who fills the vacancy on the Wroughton Parish Council will be able to play a role in local democracy and take part in improving their community.
Applicants do not have to know everything about the village or about politics but just be passionate about where they live.
As all parish councillors are up for election in May 2015, this term of office will only be for eight months.
Closing date for applications is August 8 and co-option will happen by interview from 6.30pm on August 18.
The council will vote for the new councillor at the full council meeting at 7.30pm on August 18. Application forms are available from the office at the Ellendune Centre.
