ONE of Swindon’s proudest glasses wearers was honoured this week as she took a step closer to winning the coveted Spectacle Wearer Of The Year Award, with a chance to win £10,000 and a Bahamas holiday.
Kathyrn Burn, 21, was chosen from hundreds of entries from across the region.
Known as the Oscars of the glasses world, the awards celebrate specs wearers from the UK and Republic of Ireland, across four age categories.
The awards were launched by Girls Aloud singer and West End star Kimberley Walsh earlier this year.
And Kathryn could meet her at the awards ceremony if she triumphs in her age category.
The awards will be held in London on October 7.
