CHILDREN celebrated five years of Little Pippins Pre-School with a help from their Greenmeadow colleagues.

On Saturday, the school, which is run by parents and grandparents as a charity, opened its doors to families and the public to mark the milestone anniversary.

After a stop at the face-painting booth and a go on a bouncy castle, the youngsters were treated to a mouth-watering slice of birthday cake.

Little Pippins manager Stephanie Slade said: “The rooms were set up to provide parents and children with an idea of what would be on offer in the Pre-School Room, Two-year-old Room, Breakfast and After School Clubs. There was a bouncy castle, face-painting and even a birthday cake.”

Little Pippins moved to Greenmeadow Children’s Centre in September 2009.

In February this year, the school launched the Breakfast and After School Club.

Little Pippins is now hoping new young recruits will join the school.

“The pre-school now employs 19 members of staff,” added Stephanie .

“We are currently taking registrations for our Breakfast and After School provision, Pre-school for September 2015 and Two-year-old Room for funded two-year-olds in January 2015.”
