A HANDBAG was snatched from a woman’s shoulder last weekend on the canal path near Cambria Bridge Road.
The Swindon Priority Crime Team are investigating the incident which occurred just before 1pm on Saturday, November 8.
The 58-year-old victim was shocked when a man ran up behind her and snatched her bag from her shoulder.
The suspect and another man ran off towards Swindon town centre under Cambria Bridge Road.
The victim was not injured during this incident, but was left very distressed.
A CCTV image of two men officers would like to speak to in connection with the offence has been released.
DC Greg Farmery said: “This offence happened in the middle of the day in a busy area so there will be witnesses who have not yet come forward.
“I would like to appeal for anyone who saw the incident or who has any information regarding the identities of the two men to contact us.”
