A MUM who says she was gang raped in a kebab house toilet has told a jury the first attacker was grabbing her 'like an octopus'.

The 41-year-old, who had been drinking and taking drugs on top of a cocktail of medication, insisted she had not consented to sex with the two men.

And she said that she was not hearing voices in her head making sexual comments to her, as she had in the past.

The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was giving evidence to Swindon Crown Court at the trial of Abdul Shinwari, 25, who denies two counts of rape.

He accepts he and a colleague, who has never been traced, had sex with her by consent after she arrived at the shop.

The jury of seven women and five men were told she had been seeing a psychiatrist in 2008 when she heard voices telling her to do things 'of a sexual nature' to him.

But she said since her medication had stabilised she rarely heard the voices now telling the court: "There were certainly no voices that night".

She said she had been drinking since 11.30am that morning as well as taking four types of pills for her depression and pain.

During the day she had three pints of cider, saying drinking on her medication was not a problem for her though she was not supposed to as it enhanced the effect of the drink.

By the time she got to Sammy's in Clive Parade she said she had consumed another five pints of cider and a small glass of champagne, which she said lefty her 'tipsy'.

She also accepted that she had taken 'three or four drags' on a joint outside after the friend's surprise party at the Moonrakers pub.

Under cross examination from Alex Daymond, who is defending Shinwari, she said: "In fact I was quite sober for leaving a party."

She said she had gone to the kebab shop to see if they sold beer as she decided what to do after being separated from her friends in the early hours of Sunday, April 27, last year.

But she insisted as soon as she walked into the fast food joint one of the men was all over her, pulling her into the back of the shop.

She said: "He was like an octopus around me, how ever he tried to push I could not get him to leave me alone.

"He was trying to kiss my neck and telling me I was beautiful, he was just all over me. I just kept saying 'no'."

She said he pulled her to the staff toilet where he raped her, though she accepted she still had a cigarette she was smoking in her hand when she was bent over the cistern.

Mr Daymond pointed out that she was a large lady and his client was a small man suggested she could have fought him off.

She replied: "You might say I am a big woman but most men are generally stronger, however small they are."

She said: "I know it seems insane to you that I might had just stood there and take it, this is what is going to happen, it may sound totally insane to you but what if I got kicked about that toilet?"

Mr Daymond put to her that she had taken a shine to his client and after asking to use the toilet started to grope him, initiating sex, which she denied.

Shinwari, of County Road, denies two counts of rape. The case continues.
