A 52-year-old man who is accused of raping a child in Swindon has been remanded in custody by a judge.
John Dunne is also accused of other sex offences against the youngster between May 2004 to the end of 2008 when she was aged from seven to 11 years old.
No charges have been put to the defendant, who was due to appear before a judge at Swindon Crown Court by video link but did not because of a problem at the prison.
Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case to Thursday, February 19, and remanded Dunne, who gave the court an address in Weston-super-Mare, in custody.
