SPRING is nearly upon us and the great outdoors beckons so why not enjoy a family day out at Millets Farm?

Set in Oxfordshire, the farm boasts its very own mini zoo featuring animals from across the world.

During their visit children get to observe and learn about Millets’ exotic rheas, flightless ground birds native to South America, and the zoo’s two alpacas, Ice-Mann and Rocky.

Those who have a fondness for pigs will not be disappointed with two Kune Kune pigs, from New Zealand – where they have developed an excellent temperament due to their contact with Maori populations – and Managlitza pigs from the Austrian and Hungarian border. They will also get to say hello to the farm’s three piglets. Cows, ducks, sheep and goats will also be roaming around the zoo.

Phoebe Wood, a 10-acre site at Millets Farm Centre, was planted in 2005 to commemorate the bicentenary of the Battle of Trafalgar.

Need to know Millets Farm is based at Kingston Road, Frilford, Oxfordshire, OX13 5HB. It is open between 9am and 5.30pm until the end of the month.
