A MAN who fell 30ft from a town centre window remains in hospital.
The incident happened at 8.58am on Friday when the man, named locally as Johnny Webb, fell from a window at The Cricketers Arms pub, in Emlyn Square.
Mr Webb, 56, was taken to Southmead Hospital for treatment.
Yesterday police said he remained in a critical but stable condition there after suffering injuries to his head, ribs and legs in the fall.
Witnesses are being sought by Wiltshire Police.
Detective Inspector Lisa Clarke, from Swindon CID, said: “We are keen to hear from any witnesses to this incident.
“I would ask anyone with any information to contact us via 101.”
It is understood that Mr Webb was a homeless and had been staying at the Cricketers Arms.
Regulars at the pub described him as an outgoing person who enjoyed socialising in Swindon and was a very active member of the community.
Anyone with information can call the police on 101.
Alternatively, information can be left anonymously with the Crimestoppers service on 0800 555 111.
