A SWINDON mediation charity is continuing to operate despite closing one service due to funding cuts.

Mediationplus, which has been providing a range of services to separating couples and families for more than 30 years, until recently provided a Community Mediation Service.

The service saw fully-trained volunteers mediated between parties where there were neighbour disputes or anti-social behaviour, helping bring about peaceful resolutions.

After lottery funding was lost two years ago and amid continuing financial struggles, mediationplus made the decision to end the Community Mediation Service.

However, the group continues to provide services including family mediation, child counselling and supervised child contact to support separating couples and families in Swindon and Wiltshire.
