A SERIES of furry fundraisers at a Swindon bank were launched with a visit by Children In Need mascot Pudsey recently.

The bear made a guest appearance at the town centre branch Halifax to recognise the bank’s charity partnership with the appeal.

The bank will be supporting the good cause through a series of fundraisers in the coming months, and the bear made a guest appearance to launch the partnership.

The event, which took place earlier this month, saw the visitors to the branch donate £110, with the Halifax matching that to make a total of £220 for Children In Need.

During the day, there was a bake sale with lots of delicious cakes on sale to people popping in to do their banking.

Halifax spokesman Steve Mitchell said: “I would like to thank everyone who made a donation and bought a cake. The money is going to help a really good cause.

“They are our charity of the year and we will be holding a series of events throughout this year to support them.”
