Penelope Cruz has revealed how she is keen to be more involved behind the scenes, following her producing debut in Ma Ma.
The Oscar-winning actress takes on producing duties in Julio Medem's Spanish language drama, in which she also stars as a mother battling to overcome tragedy. Penelope, who has two children with fellow actor and husband Javier Bardem, said she was immediately drawn to her character in Ma Ma.
The 41-year-old star also said she does not understand the fuss surrounding subtitles in films.
