A TEENAGER was attacked and robbed by a group of three men on Princes Street on Thursday afternoon and deprived of his bag and bicycle.

A 15-year-old boy had his bike stored near the Civic Offices in Euclid Street, and had been walking towards Fleming Way when he was approached by three males.

One of them began punching him repeatedly to the torso as his bag was removed from him.

The lad later discovered the bike had also been stolen.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the latest incident, which comes just days after three men attempted to rob a teenager of his bicycle at the Whitehill Way underpass.

DC Sonia Marsh, of Swindon CID, said: "Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident which occurred at 5.05pm on Thursday, November 19.

"A 15-year-old was walking down Princes Street in the direction of Fleming Way, when he was attacked by three males, whom had come from the top of Princes Street.

"The youth was punched repeatedly to his chest and upper body, and his bag removed from him in the assault.

"The males have then run away in the direction of the Civic Offices on Euclid Street.

"The young man also had his bike stolen from the offices on Euclid Street, which was a Muddy Fox in blue with red and white stickers on the frame.

"The main offender who was punching the victim is described as white, 5'8", of slim build and wearing a dark jacket with the hood worn up."

"The offenders had been hanging around the Clarence House offices on Euclid Street prior to the robbery.

"If anyone has any information to assist in the apprehension of these males, please contact Swindon CID via the 101 number, or alternatively information can be left anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
