A judge has issued a another warrant for the arrest of a mum who hit a love rival in the face with the point of her stiletto shoe in a drunken attack.

Kathleen Shiel was brought to court in custody after failing to turn up for a hearing last month to face an allegation that she did not comply with a suspended sentence.

Because she did not have a lawyer Judge Tim Mousley QC said the case had be adjourned as she faced possible jail and said he was going to remanded her in custody.

But after she pleaded from the dock that she had an important appointment about her son's health that afternoon he relented and granted her bail overnight.

He told the 29-year-old she must stay at an address Stackpole Crescent, Blunsdon, with a woman she said she knew through a church.

However when she failed to attend Swindon Crown Court the following day he issued another warrant without bail.

Shiel, formerly of Littlecote Close, Westlea, and Lambrok, Trowbridge, got eight months suspended for 18 months after admitting causing actual bodily harm.

She plunged the high heel into the temple of Milena O'Connell, who she said had stolen the father of one of her children, after they left the Lava Lounge.
