Drivers making their way to work this morning are warned to expect delays after three crashes in the town.
Police and paramedics remain at the scene of a crash on Wootton Bassett Road which involved two cars.
Traffic is backing up along Wootton Bassett Road and up Kingshill Road to the mini roundabout at Okus Road.
A spokesman for the South Western Ambulance Service said they had been called to the scene at 8.31am and took a man in his 60s into Great Western Hospital with minor injuries.
Traffic remains heavy on the other side of town too after an earlier crash on the A419 southbound near the A4259 Marlborough Road. All lanes have been reopened.
There is also congestion further up the A419 near the B4040 Swindon Road where one lane is closed and traffic is queuing on the northbound carriageway. This is as a result of an earlier crash involving a lorry, a van and a car at around 4.30am.
Congestion is reportedly as far back as the Honda South roundabout.
The ambulance spokesman said they had attended the scene and taken a man in his 30s to Great Western Hospital with back and leg injuries.
