A CYCLIST has been taken to hospital following a collision with a car in Thamesdown Drive this morning.

It is believed came off his bicycle outside Aldi around 9.40am and it is not yet clear how the other vehicle was involved.

A fire crew from Stratton attended the scene and carried out first aid on the male cyclist until paramedics arrived.

A spokesman for the South Western Ambulance Service said: “One male casualty – the man on the bike – was taken into Great Western Hospital for treatment.”

One lane was closed and it is believed the incident is still ongoing.
