A TEENAGER has appeared in court charged with damaging a great tit nest and six bird boxes.
The 14-year-old girl – who cannot be identified for legal reasons – appeared before magistrates in the youth court at Swindon Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with intentionally damaging the nest of a wild bird – a great tit – while it was in use or being built on August 5, 2015.
The teenager was further charged with damaging six bird nest boxes to the value of £90 belonging to Colin Crook.
She was sentenced to a three-month referral order.
